Fun Facts about Paper Folding

Do you know that no piece of paper can be folded in half more than 7 times?

This is actually logical.
The reason for this is that everytime the paper is folded in half, the thickness is doubled.

Lets take an example of a paper with 1mm thickness. Then:

1st folding: 2mm
2nd folding: 4mm
3rd folding: 8mm
4th folding: 16mm
5th folding: 32mm
6th folding: 64mm
7th folding: 128mm = 1.28cm

Imagine a paper with 1.28cm thickness. How cool is that?
